Who we are

Group of five people sitting on a wooden bench in front of a sign that reads 'SMUGGLERS' NOTCH VERMONT America's Family Resort,' with two people standing on either side of the bench.

Our family started coming to Smugglers' Notch Resort from Florida back in 2002, when our kids were 2, 8, and 10. We immediately fell in love with the place and started increasing the time we spent there each year by acquiring different share ownerships, so we could come and go pretty much as we pleased.

Each year, we asked the kids if they'd rather go somewhere else. Even though it meant braving a 20- to 30-hour drive to Vermont and back, we unanimously decided to keep going.

We typically spend 6 to 10 weeks a year at the resort, and every day is packed with activities. When the children were young, they eagerly went to camp each summer morning, where they'd hike, swim, play games, dance, sing, and make great friends, while we played volleyball, went for walks, and relaxed at the pools and hot tubs. In the winter, they joined the ski camps and learned to ski and ride. After camp, we typically joined in family activities, then put the kids to bed at night and enjoyed some adult time.

Each of us has made lifelong friends whom we look forward to seeing every year and frequently see or talk to outside of Vermont — many of them third- and fourth-generation Smugglers.

Our children have each worked at the resort as mascots Billy Bob and Mogul Mouse, and as camp counselors. Our daughter discovered her passion for working with special-needs children through the resort's Special Needs Adaptive Program (SNAP).

We now own three 2-Bedroom Falcons Family Shares, each covering a third of the year. Fall of 2025, we acquired a much larger 3-Bedroom Eagles Equity Share, covering half the year, that better fits our growing family. Share ownership lets owners rent out their units when they're away from the resort, helping to offset the homeowner fees that cover everything related to the homes. Owners do not need to do anything or worry about anything.

We created this website to help promote rentals of our units, as well as the sale of the time we no longer need. If you have any questions or would like to chat, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
