Rent or Own Vermont Mountain Retreat Homes
at Smugglers’ Notch Resort
Who we are
Our family started coming to Smugglers’ Notch Resort from Florida back in 2002 when our kids were 1, 4, and 7. We immediately fell in love with the place and started increasing the time we spent their each year by acquiring different share ownerships so we could come and go pretty much as we pleased.
Each year, we asked the kids if they would rather go somewhere else. Even though it meant braving a 20 to 30 hour drive to Vermont and and back, we unanimously decided to go.
We typically spend 6 to 10 weeks per year at the resort. Every day is packed with activities. When the children were young, each summer morning they eagerly went to camp where they would hike, swim, play games, dance, sing, and make great friends while we did things like play volleyball, went for walks, went to the pools and just relaxed. In the winter, they participated in the ski camps and learned to ski and ride. After camp, we typically joined in the family activities then at night put them to bed and enjoyed adult activities.
Each of us have made lifelong friends who we look forward to seeing every year and frequently see or communicate with away from Vermont. Many of them are 3rd and 4th generation Smugglers’.
The children each have ended up working jobs at the resort as mascots Billy Bob and Mogul Mouse as well as camp counselors. Our daughter found her passion for working with special needs children from working with the Special Needs Adaptive (SNAP) program.
We now own three 2 Bedroom Falcons Family Shares which each cover 1/3 of the year. This summer, we acquired a much larger 3 Bedroom Eagles Equi-Share which covers 1/2 of the year and better fits our growing family.
Share ownership allows owners to rent their units when away from the resort to help defray some of the homeowner fees that take care of EVERYTHING related to the homes. We have created this website to help promote rental of our units as well as to promote the sale of the time we no longer need.
